Victoria Gate - Leeds

Victoria Gate acts as a flagship department store for retailer, John Lewis. PSP Aluminium were appointed by Lindner Facades to manufacture and supply 192 steel window frames, internal cover pressings and all of the required supporting bracketry.

Victoria Gate – Leeds

To create and achieve this astounding composition involved precise skill and knowledge as one third of the frames were curved in plan and had to adhere to contracted and specified tolerances to ensure the interface with the glass units was accurate.

We rose to this challenge through close liaison with our clients design team to ensure engineering solution was achieved. In order to effectively achieve exacting tolerances on the ends of the support structure which were manufactured out of a solid steel bar, the PSP team brought 5 axis CNC solution to the client.

All PSP products were systematically and individually labelled to enable quick and efficient assembly by the Lindner team. All agreed delivery dates were on time, some even bettered the expected delivery date which demonstrated the capability of the PSP team and able handling of complex projects.

“We have worked with PSP on numerous projects and always found their service, quality, management and attention to detail to be of the highest standard, which are all traits we require from sub-contractors in our supply chain. It is fair to say that the complexity of the design and fabrication of the glass facade elements has pushed the boundaries of all involved and without the technical expertise and enthusiasm from the PSP team, the successful completion of this project would not have been so successful achieved.”
